Baldur's Gate 3 developers will finally „fix” another kiss in the game, as well as remove bugs from the previous update. Patch 5 will also bring undisclosed new features.

The fifth major update is coming to Baldur's Gate 3 this week. Such information was provided by studio Larian (via Twitter / X), while revealing some of the upcoming changes.

No one will probably be surprised by the developers' assurance that Patch 5 will include "many" fixes. The four previous major updates introduced hundreds or even more than a thousand changes, and there is no reason to believe that their successor will not follow in their footsteps.

We will only learn about the new elements from the upcoming update in an entry currently being prepared by the developers. For now, Larian has seen fit to mention that Patch 5 will fix the kiss scene with Astarion and remove performance drops after performing theft or acts of violence. The latter bug appeared in the previous update, and the developers recently promised to fix the second issue at the request of unsatisfied players.

At this point we know nothing more about the content of the upcoming update. Recently, Larian Studios mentioned a "breakthrough" in the game's optimization, but it is possible that we will have to wait until the release of Baldur's Gate III on Xbox Series X/S (the date will be revealed in December).

Players are also hoping to see information about fixing other glitches introduced in the latest patch, primarily those de facto preventing play in the third Act of the third Baldur's Gate.
