Relaxing RPG Dave the Diver Found 1 Million Buyers on Steam

The independent game Dave the Diver has enamored a slew of Steam users. Proof of this are the impressive sales results of this relaxing RPG.

One of the great things about the game industry is that from time to time even inconspicuous game can challenge their high-budget competitors. The biblical David in this case is called Dave the Diver, which according to the publisher, Nexon, has already sold a million copies (via automation-media). Given the game's reception, such a result should not surprise anyone.

The game, which made its debut on Steam on June 28 after spending more than ten months in early access, has almost immediately gained recognition in the eyes of thousands of players. At the time of writing this news the title has 28,907 reviews on Valve's platform, of which as many as 96% are positive reviews. They are also shared by industry journalists. On OpenCritic the game enjoys an average rating of 89%.

Impressive data is also presented in SteamDB charts. The information contained there, suggests that Dave the Diver is played by more than 90,000 players almost every day at the peak., with as many as 98,480 active players on July 9.
